One step at a time to end HIV in the 504
New Orleans has the fourth highest new infection rate for HIV in the Nation.
Poverty, despair and ignorance are huge contributors to helping HIV thrive.
We have come so far in the detection, management and treatment of HIV.
With early detection, and effective treatment a person living with HIV can get their Viral loads to undetectable numbers.
And an undetectable Viral count, equals an un-transmittable virus.
HIV does not need to be a death sentence.
However, education, early detection and effective treatment are the keys to eradicating HIV.
We have the keys to make these three letters, this acronym which has taken so many people far too early and too painfully.
Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Friends and Loved ones tragically lost.
But we have the power to eradicate HIV from not only the 504, but the world.
One step at a time.
One person at a time.
We can, will, and must win the war against HIV.
Please consider sponsoring me as I walk to raise money for Crescent Care, one of the leading providers of care to the HIV/Aids Populations in the GNO.
They provide not only care for those living with HIV, but also education resources, testing, and so much more.
Will you stand with me, with us, as we take each crucial step to end HIV in New Orleans?
With Federal funding being slashed across the board, your assistance is so incredibly, urgently necessary.
Please support me as I walk for all of those who cannot, for those who have gone before me, and with the hope that we can one day in the near future wipe out HIV.
